Fashion Forward?

I am looking forward to seeing collections for spring 2012.  There were so many elements in many of 2011's fall collections that I absolutely adored, and quite frankly will not give up.  Everything from feathers, long rustic chains, earth tones to the comeback of the french braid in more modern variations.  Long flowing tresses were refreshing and made me feel like going au naturel.  I gave the flat iron a bit of a break!  There is nothing more beautiful in my eyes than style that screams "nature".  I love costume jewelry with simple animal friends:  everything from owls to foxes.  Some of my favorite comebacks from my closet are articles of clothing by free people!
Musky scents containing hints of sandalwood, patchouli, clove are almost like comfort foods to me.  This may be the result of parents that were hippies.  Back in the late 70's growing up I found my mothers wardrobe to be quite interesting as well as hideous!  Bell bottoms, halter tops, platform wedges, braided belts--as much as I would say "ick" under  my breath, I was drawn to the style.  So much so, that through out the years that has become me.  I find myself wearing less and less make up and when I do put "my face" on it seems to look odd.  I guess we change, as fashion and style does.  I like what I like, bottom line.
